15 June – PLUS Malaysia Berhad and Yinson GreenTech have announced a joint venture to develop an Integrated Retail and Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Hub at the Seremban Southbound Rest and Service Area (R&R) along the North-South Expressway (NSE). This collaboration aims to enhance the EV charging experience and support Malaysia’s transition to green mobility.
🚗 Project Overview
The Seremban R&R hub is set to be the first of its kind in Malaysia, combining high-speed DC fast chargers with retail and food & beverage (F&B) offerings. Yinson GreenTech, through its subsidiary Green EV Charge Sdn Bhd, will be responsible for the installation and operation of the EV charging infrastructure. PLUS Malaysia, via its subsidiary Terra PLUS Sdn Bhd, will oversee the development and management of the commercial retail and F&B components. The hub is expected to be operational by 2027.
⚡ Charging Infrastructure
The hub will feature multiple DC fast charging bays, capable of delivering up to 350 kW each. This setup aims to provide a rapid and convenient charging experience for EV users, addressing range anxiety and promoting the adoption of electric vehicles.
🛍️ Retail and F&B Offerings
In addition to EV charging facilities, the hub will offer a variety of retail and F&B outlets, creating a comprehensive stopover experience for travelers. This integration of services is designed to enhance the convenience and comfort of EV users during their journeys.
🌱 Environmental Impact
This initiative aligns with Malaysia’s Low Carbon Mobility Blueprint 2030 and the National Energy Transition Roadmap, supporting the country’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. The development of such hubs is a significant step towards building a sustainable and future-ready transportation infrastructure.

Following the Seremban R&R hub, PLUS and Yinson GreenTech plan to expand the network of Integrated Retail and EV Charging Hubs at selected locations along the NSE. These developments aim to create a seamless and accessible EV charging network across the country, facilitating long-distance travel for EV users.
